I deal with executives at large firms who face business challenges that require a deeper understanding of the influences on their business.  These are influences from within (typically from the operation of the business) and from the external environment.   They rely on fast, factual information to evaluate the health of their business and to strategize about the future.  Typically, these execs are not experts on the technology of data management and analysis, and we spend a lot of time establishing a baseline of understanding about these topics before we can dig into the specific problems they may face.

The intent of this blog is to capture some of the more prevalent topics of the day in a way that I can reference for future discussions.  Maybe you will find them useful as well!
